I like how Mr. Nash explained that he was miserable by doing "pick ups," even though he was basically successful at it. It helped me realize that that was what I wanted, too. 30 years ago, a counselor advised me not to commit "fornication." I think he was right. I just doesn't suit me. I want more depth from a woman than can be found in one night. Spirituality has always meant a lot to me. Mr. Nash's advice helped me realize why spiritual teachings work. Much of what, say, the Bible says to do, is what he says works with a girlfriend, so I was particularly susceptible to like it. I wish he had emphasized what to do to keep a girlfriend, though, not just to "get" one. Maybe saying to "act as if" one needed a girlfriend when one has one would be good.
